Destiny has a funny way of influencing lives. It does not use harsh determination make a man, it simply gives birth to chance encounters and challenging visions. Now and then it confronts us with events that make a person, or a person that makes events and persons happen. This is a small thought about one such person:
From a land far away a traveler came
With no ill will or unrighteous claim
And in the new land an opportunity came
That seemed just fine for it suited him
It was there that his travel took him
To a small clan that wanted continuity
For a tradition it was, as they told him
For a stranger to teach there with dignity
This new quest, he found it intriguing
A challenge was rearing its head
As in a new land he was pioneering
With no compass to show where to head
For days and nights he rigorously toiled
Perfecting his craft and making his stories
Convincing his learners his words to heed
Tales of far away lands and possible glories
He showed them a trail that few have seen
And gave them the chance to follow its blaze
Instead of pondering on what might have been
And letting all pass by in a wondrous haze
The bards of the land found him by chance
And asked of legends of treasures unseen
For they could not tell at their shallow glance
Of the scholar's fortune that came from his pen
For above all he was a man of his word
One which he played with for hours untold
Using the pen as the tip of a sword
Making gentle lyrics which great power held
As days went by he taught what he knew
Of culture and places and other things new
Until the sad moment when an ending he sew
To the tail of the story that poured on like dew
The time of departure unfeelingly came
To the sadness of many who fancied his way
Where he once traveled things won't be the same
And his former companions will remember the day
With his darling lady the scholar too soon went
To the
The memories he left them will suffer no dent
For the man from
***
Cheers!
