Doorways to nowhere

It is said that there is a key to a man's heart; they also say it is through their stomachs. However, where you find that key lock is not important, what is important is that there is a key to everything. The only thing one needs is to find the right door.

Doorways are similar to the starting points of all new adventures, the origin. In the beginning there is a first step, a first impression that interacts with the depths of our spirit and guides our future adventures. After the beginning there lies a realm that waits for us to explore its highs and lows. Everywhere and in everyone there is an undiscovered country and our possible discovery.

Each key is different as each look is special. Some locks need skeleton keys to open the closet and other locks might need an extra something, a word or a sign of good faith. What is behind every one of those panels is unique as well; some hide people, others hide places and some are just a shield against the noise and clutter that seem to fill all spaces. What each one of use finds behind it is different as no two people see the same thing.

Each wall needs a door, each walls sits between things. Sometimes those things are ideas, other time it divides people, but in the end what happens is that a gate appears. This opening, no matter how big or small, is the first step towards commerce, towards an exchange that encourages growth that calls in columns of strangers. Yet every doorway should be built as long as the price is kept in mind.

Some doors might open to things that are good to be known, while others are simply a secret that was best left buried. A doorway is simply the stopping point between two worlds. One lies beyond a step while one is just a step behind, a difference of two steps between two choices. A separation that is the thin line between what you have in one place and what you may find in another.

What is held behind a door might be a secret or it may be a fear, something that we would prefer to keep hidden from the masses, our private little secret. Fact is that a door may hold many things behind both its side and only serve one purpose. Its purpose is to create a moment of pause between motions.

When you open the door you always have to do a series of moves, a complex little puzzle that sticks along the general lines. You find the key chain, take it out, pass from key to key until you find the right one, put it in the lock, and place a hand on the doorknob, turn, twist, pull or push. This simple divide carries great effort to open it, as do all valuable hiding places.

And as with all great divides crossing it lies solely in our own choices. Some decide that it is all worth it to open it, even if just a little bit, a tiny crack that sheds some light on the other side. Others choose to let it be and o bury the key, yet sooner or later the sleeping secrets stir and all the hiding will just turn out to be a show of patience. But for now lets close the door and turn the page.

See ya! :)
