Power of a penny

Some time ago, about the year 1546, the phrase "penny for your thoughts" was first used. I do believe that's a good thing to now since it's a good saying and not many are the people that still use it these days.

I think this is a real shame since all this phrase does is to prove concern and a deep sense of value for another person. Curious why I say this, then read on.

Apparently the current value of a 1546 penny is about 42 dollars, more or less, and i go by the logic that says if you use an old thing, saying or other, have the common sense to use it at the value that it held in its prime and then add the experience.

I say this because if someone comes to a great successful writer and asks him to make him a novel and two days later the novel is written and the writer asks for a high price you must understand that he does not tax just for two days, because the quality of your work took all the years of work until he got to the point where he could write a novel in 2 days.

Therefore the next time when someone drops by and gives you this offer don't turn them down since you should keep in mind that this person is willing to give 40 dollars just to find out what's bothering you and show you that they're there for you.

So that's about it. Forty dollars more than other people would give and a bit more time to actually put a smile on your face. :)
